Swachh Industrial Park

FICCI, responding to Hon’ble Prime Minister’s call for ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, initiated the ‘Swachh Industrial Park’ campaign and awards to encourage and promote cleanliness in industrial parks in the country. The Awards recognizes those industrial parks that have set a benchmark in cleanliness, sustainability, and environmental responsibility.

In 2025, FICCI will be organizing the 2nd edition of the Swachh Industrial Park Awards which will include Government & Private Industrial Parks and SEZs.

In the first edition, nearly 140 government parks across 18 states sent in their applications, out of which 11 states were shortlisted for the awards. Recognizing the importance of fostering cleanliness within industrial areas, the industrial parks were assessed on three categories- Environmental sustainability, Waste Management and Infrastructure. The evaluation process involved several rounds of screening and assessment, based on documents submitted by these parks and site visits.

An independent jury was drawn from industry, experts, think tanks and media, which was chaired by Arti Ahuja, Former Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Labour & Employment.

Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Govt of India, felicitated the awardees of the Swachh Industrial Parks at FICCI’s 97th AGM and Annual Convention on 21 November, 2024.
